The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) warmly welcomed its Basic Education School (BES) learners as classes officially opened today, June 8, 2026, marking the beginning of another academic year filled with learning, growth, and new opportunities.
Students were greeted with an energetic welcome at the campus entrance as the rhythmic beats of drums and lively performances created a festive atmosphere, setting a positive tone for the first day of classes. The program gathered learners, parents, faculty members, and school administrators in a celebration of the new school year.
One of the highlights of the opening program was the introduction of the university and school officials, allowing learners to become acquainted with the administrators who will help guide them throughout their educational journey. The event also featured an inspiring message from University President Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, PhD, who encouraged students to embrace the opportunities and challenges of the academic year with enthusiasm, discipline, and a commitment to excellence.
Adding excitement to the celebration were the interactive booths prepared by the different BES organizations. Inspired by an enchanting realm called “BEStieland,” the booths showcased creativity, collaboration, and school spirit, providing learners with opportunities to explore the various student organizations and activities available on campus.
The opening-day activities reflected the university’s commitment to creating a welcoming and engaging learning environment, ensuring that learners begin the school year with a sense of belonging and enthusiasm for the months ahead.
