The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao-Basic Education School (USLT-BES), through the ABM Area in partnership with The ABM GEMxecutives and The BOSS, successfully organized the Financial Literacy and Sustainability-Driven Leadership Summit 2025 on August 28, 2025, at the Bulwagang Teodulfo Domingo, with the theme “Shaping the Future of Smart, Driven, and Green-Powered Clubs.”
The event gathered student leaders from various academic strands, clubs, and learner government councils, united by the vision of becoming financially responsible, sustainability-driven, and future-ready changemakers. It highlighted the significance of equipping young leaders with the necessary knowledge, skills, and strategies to promote financial inclusion while advancing global sustainability initiatives.
Two distinguished speakers graced the summit. Ms. Elizabeth C. Turo, BSAC-4, SABH Council Governor, and SHS-ABM alumna, shared her expertise on “Strategies for Building Financially Responsible Student Organizations.” Meanwhile, Mr. Belman O. Millan, Jr., MBA, Head of the Center for Business Research and Incubation, delivered a lecture on “Introduction to Sustainability as Applied to Student Organizations and Strategies for Advancing Green, Purpose-Driven Initiatives.” Their insights provided invaluable guidance and inspiration to the participants.
The participants were empowered to embrace innovative, driven, green-powered leadership through meaningful discussions, collaborative efforts, and forward-looking strategies.
USLT commends the ABM Area, the ABM GEM Executives, the BOSS, and all student leaders who took part in this initiative, a significant step toward forming a generation of leaders committed to sustainable and transformative change.
