The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) convened university administrators and managers for a SWOT Analysis and Visioning Workshop on February 16, 2026, held at Bulwagang Teodulfo Domingo as part of its continuing strategic planning initiatives.
The activity formally opened with remarks from Vice President for Academics Dr. Luisa B. Aquino, followed by a message from University President Rev. Fr. Macwyane N. Maniwang, who emphasized the institution’s collective commitment to work in advancing the university’s mission and long-term development.
Guest speaker Dr. Noel C. Racho facilitated the morning session, which featured a SWOT Analysis Workshop. University managers were divided into four groups to examine institutional Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats, with each group preparing and presenting analyses centered on the university’s current realities and future directions.
The afternoon session commenced with a Presentation on the President’s Strategic Thrusts and Directions, reaffirming the university’s key areas of excellence in mission, academics, people, and institution. A new institutional thrust—Sustainability and Resilience—was also introduced by Fr. Maniwang to further guide the university’s growth and responsiveness to emerging challenges.
Dr. Racho then led the Visioning Workshop, where participants revisited the university’s mission and core values before collaboratively crafting multiple proposed vision statements intended to shape the institution’s future direction.
The workshop forms part of the university’s ongoing strategic planning efforts as it prepares its five-year development plan, ensuring that institutional goals remain responsive, mission-driven, and aligned with emerging educational and societal needs.
