The University of Saint Louis (USL) has been certified in its engineering education as a Tier 1 Institution under the Philippine Technological Council’s (PTC) Tier Classification System (TCS). This distinction was confirmed following the assessment and evaluation of the Self-Tiering Assessment Report (STAR) submitted by the university as part of its accreditation process under the PTC Certification and Accreditation System for Engineering Education (PTC CASEE).
As a Tier 1 institution, USL has met the thresholds of all three (3) TCS criteria, solidifying its status as a leading institution for engineering education. This certification applies to USL’s five (5) programs, including Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geodetic Engineering, and Computer Engineering.
Moreover, all USL engineering programs accredited by PTC will receive international recognition for their substantial equivalency.
Meanwhile, the classification will undergo a review every six years, with the next evaluation required before the next general comprehensive review of its accredited programs.
