USL holds meeting with AFPEBSO


The University of Saint Louis (USL) is honored to continue its valued partnership with the Armed Forces of the Philippines Educational Benefit System Office (AFPEBSO) through a meeting held on September 5, 2024, at the Sacred Heart Board Room. This collaboration provides educational opportunities to the dependents of soldiers through scholarship slots offered by the university.


In recognition of this ongoing partnership, the meeting provided an opportunity for the AFPEBSO to express gratitude for the university’s steadfast support over the years and will provide an opportunity for them to present updates and accomplishments related to the partnership.


Furthermore, the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) will undergo a comprehensive review by the top administration of USL to ensure the continued alignment of goals and expectations.



Additionally, the AFPEBSO team who attended the meeting includes LT Admiral Eduardo P. Justiniane, PN; TSG Jayson C. Lozano, PA; PO3 Ariel G. Cortez, PN; SN2 Christian B. Campo, PN; and Allen Karl R. Sarmiento, CivHR. Representing USL were Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D.; Dr. Marie Rose P. Mora; Dr. Liza M. Empedrad; and Mr. Aldwin D. Tuliao.


USL values this opportunity to further strengthen its partnership with AFPEBSO and reaffirm its dedication to the educational advancement of the soldiers’ dependents.


Meanwhile, this ongoing collaboration aligns with the university’s commitment to supporting the broader community and contributing to sustainable development goals (SDGs), particularly those related to quality education (SDG4) and partnerships for the goals (SDG17).
