The University of Saint Louis recognized and honored the graduates, completers, and academic achievers across all levels during the two-week period of recognition and commencement exercises held on June 10–21, 2024, at the USL Main Campus.
During the 53rd Commencement Exercises on June 20–21, 2024, a total of 342 graduates from the School of Accountancy, Business, and Hospitality, 294 graduates from the School of Engineering, Architecture, and Information Technology Education, 96 graduates from the School of Education, Arts, and Sciences, and 91 graduates from the School of Health and Allied Sciences received their degrees, titles, and diplomas as they marked the culmination of their tertiary education.
The university accorded the honors and academic distinctions of high-achieving graduates, as well as certificates of recognition, to the parents of honor graduates.
Moreover, 69 graduates from the School of Graduate Studies and Continuing Professional Development also received their degrees, titles, and diplomas for the completion of their master’s and doctoral degrees.
USL also featured Engr. Carlos Brylle Maglaque Artates on stage for his remarkable performance as the Top 9 in the April 2024 Civil Engineers Licensure Examinations. Engr. Artates scored a remarkable rating of 91.90%, placing him ninth nationwide out of the 6,680 passers. In honor of his achievement, he was presented with a plaque and a cash incentive of ₱50,000.
The 7th Senior High School Commencement Exercises on June 13, 2024 also awarded 103 Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences graduates, 144 Accountancy, Business, and Management students, 235 Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics-Non-Health students, and 371 Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics-Health graduates with diplomas and citations.
Among the SHS graduates, seven (7) students were awarded with high honors, and 289 students were awarded with honors. Students who excelled in non-academic activities were also recognized with medals and certificates of merit for their achievements.
Moreover, the Junior High School Completion Exercises on June 11, 2024, brought together students, parents, administrators, and faculty members to celebrate the academic achievements of the university’s Grade 10 students. USL-JHS confirmed 449 students and received their certificates of completion, which signifies the culmination of their junior high education.
Notably, outstanding students received their medals, honoring their exemplary academic achievements. One student has received high honors, and 24 students have earned honors in the Advanced Science curriculum. Moreover, three students have received high honors, and 59 students have achieved honors in the Grade 10 Science curriculum.
The Elementary unit also honored its graduates in a ceremony held on June 10, 2024. USL confirmed 83 Grade 6 graduates, marking the culmination of their elementary education. Six outstanding Grade 6 pupils with honors received their medals of academic excellence, and all the graduates received their diplomas.
USL also celebrated the completion of kindergarten pupils in a ceremony held on June 14, 2024, at the Bulwagang Teodulfo Domingo. Sixty-one (61) pupils accepted their certificates of completion, while outstanding completers and special academic honorees received their medals of academic excellence and certificates.
At non-graduating levels, the university also honored the academic achievements of its outstanding students.
High-achieving pupils in Grades 1–5 received recognition for their academic excellence for School Year 2023-2024. The university conferred the awards on two (2) high honors awardees and 61 honors awardees.
The university’s Junior High School unit also awarded its Grades 7-9 academic and non-academic honorees in a recognition program held on June 10, 2024. The Advanced Science curriculum awarded six students with high honors, while 66 students received honors. Additionally, one student received a high honors citation, and 75 students were awarded honors distinction in the Science curriculum.
Furthermore, USL-SHS extended its commendations to exemplary Grade 11 students during its recognition program on June 11, 2024. During the ceremony, USL awarded medals of academic excellence to high-achieving Grade 11 students. Within the STEM-Health strand, one student was presented with high honors, while 83 students received honors. USL also awarded one with high honors and 42 with honors in the Grade 11 ABM strand. In addition, 41 with honors awardees in the Grade 11 STEM-Non Health and 12 with honors awardees in the Grade 11 HumSS strands were recognized.
