Taking the global demands as one university, USL, through the office of the GloCal Partnerships and Engagement (GPE), spearheaded the workshop on Curriculum Internationalization on September 30, 2024, at the Saint Lorenzo Ruiz function hall.
This academic event brought together department heads of the college programs, Basic Education School (BES) representatives, Community Engagement and CICM Advocacies (CECA) coordinators, and University Research and Innovation Office (URIO) center heads.
The workshop commenced with GPE Director Dr. Anjanette F. Batulan delivering the workshop’s rationale, highlighting the importance of internationalization in building the social and economic capacity of the country.
Vice President for Academics Dr. Luisa B. Aquino provided an insightful workshop on “Harmonizing Curricula with International Standards.” Her session underscored the strategies for internationalizing the curriculum through design and development and faculty and student mobility.
The featured activity of the workshop is the presentation of the proposed internationalization project of each program, where Dr. Aquino and the academic deans expressed their feedback for the refinement of the proposals tailored to the needs of the international students.
The workshop concluded with synthesizing key takeaways and a challenge for academic leaders to materialize their proposed plans.
In line with its commitment to academic excellence and its vision to be a globally recognized institution of learning, USL-GPE commits to organizing subsequent workshops.
