USL employees hold Wear Indigenous Wednesday

Today, employees of the University of Saint Louis proudly showcased their indigenous-inspired attire and accessories for the Wear Indigenous Wednesday activity in honor of the Indigenous Month.

The Community Engagement and CICM Advocacies (CECA) Office led the event, arranging a photobooth and complimentary coffee sessions to amplify the celebration.

Mr. Alvic Torres, Coordinator of SECAP-CECA, emphasized that the activity is a meaningful demonstration of solidarity for the indigenous population. “We have our existing indigenous partner community, and we also wanna engage our school in the celebration of Indigenous Peoples Month,” remarked Mr. Torres.

This collective display not only showcased the university’s support for indigenous communities, but also served to acknowledge and celebrate their rich heritage and contributions. The activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16, promoting peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable communities.
