USL campaign team undergoes strategic training

The University of Saint Louis (USL) campaign team gathered for an intensive training session, focusing on enhancing communication and brand awareness in preparation for the next school year, on September 12, 2024, at the Pastoral Center.

The event, organized by the Marketing and Scholarships Management Office, formally commenced with the opening remarks from Dr. Liza M. Empedrad, CMSA Senior Director, followed by a motivational message from the University President, Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D., emphasizing the importance of the campaign team’s role in fulfilling the mission of the university.

Subsequently, Mr. Janro B. Narag, former USL campaign team leader and alumnus of the university, now a Local Government Operations Officer III at the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), led the first session of training and delivered an engaging presentation on Effective Communication and Presentation Skills, equipping participants with tools to connect with the audience more effectively.

Further, Mr. Sander T. Sedano, MSIT, former USL campaign team officer, talked about Brand Awareness and University Highlights during the second session. He underscored the significance of promoting USL’s strengths and unique identity to the broader community, making the university stand out in an increasingly competitive academic landscape.

The training was a massive step in preparing the team with the right skills, confidence, and creativity. As they prepare for the school year 2025-2026, the participants will play a crucial part in expanding a more impactful reach of the university to both prospective students and the community.
