The City Government of Tuguegarao, through the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), conducted the Aggao Nac Kabataan – Pattaraday Debate Workshop 2026 on August 7, 2026, at the Bulwagang Teodulfo Domingo.
The convenes participants, including student debaters, organizers, and representatives from higher education institutions and high schools across Tuguegarao City. Designed in celebration of International Youth Day, the activity aims to cultivate critical thinking, responsible discourse, and leadership among young people through debate and meaningful dialogue.
By opening its campus for the event, USLT reinforces its commitment to providing spaces that foster learning, collaboration, and youth empowerment beyond the classroom. The university’s partnership with the City Government reflects a shared vision of nurturing future leaders who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to contribute positively to society.
Through initiatives that empower the youth, USLT advances Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting lifelong learning opportunities and Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening collaboration with government institutions in delivering programs that create meaningful impact within the community.
