Dragons, ariba! Students from the School of Architecture, Computing, and Engineering (SACE) enjoyed a competitive week as they held their 2024 Departmental Week on October 1-3, 2024.
The houses of Velaryon, Baratheon, and Stark competed for the supreme house of dragons victor in diverse contested activities in literary, visual, sports, socio-cultural, and special events.
In particular, the search for the 2024 SACE Ambassador and Ambassadress holds significant importance as it champions initiatives for community safety and disaster preparedness. This is especially crucial given the country’s susceptibility to natural disasters due to its geographic location.
The college levels’ annual departmental week provides students with an avenue to showcase their talents and capabilities and encourage camaraderie among their peers. This respite from academic responsibilities facilitates the development of social connections and the cultivation of diverse talents, contributing to a more holistic and enriching Louisian educational experience.
