The university’s School of Accountancy, Business, and Hospitality (SABH) community reveled in an exciting celebration as they held their departmental week festivities on January 12-17, 2025.
Three teams, namely, Quadling, Munchkin, and Gillikin, faced each other in various sports, literary, socio-cultural, visual, and special events to determine this year’s departmental champion.
On January 12, several literary events were held, and sporting events commenced with elimination rounds. The first day, held on January 13, kicked off with a parade, followed by a series of simultaneous events. In the evening, students, faculty, and staff gathered at the James Ter Meer Gymnasium to declare the opening of SABH Week.
Days two through four featured the continuation of contested activities held simultaneously as well as the celebration of SABH’s organizational days, which included the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, Junior Philippine Association of Management Accountants, Junior Marketing Association, Junior Finance Executives, and Hospitality and Tourism Society.
To commemorate this year’s departmental week, SABH also released its Station ID, titled “Puso ng Kampeon,” which embodies the resilience and excellence inherent in every member of their community. The anthem was sung by Jose Gayanilo, Danica Maruzzo, Rosvel Sobreviñas, and Swytt Poblete.
USLT’s departmental week is organized for college departments, providing students with a respite from their academic obligations and an opportunity to demonstrate their skills and talents.
