Louisians highlight talents in the PAILAW 2024 contested events

The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao officially commenced the highly anticipated PAILAW contested events on December 6, 2024, with the theme “Liwanag ng Bituin: Tanglaw ng Daang Tungo sa Masiglang Paskuhan.”


The six departments, Basic Education School (BES), School of Accountancy, Business, and Hospitality (SABH), School of Education, Criminology, Arts, and Psychology (SECAP), School of Health and Allied Sciences (SHAS), and School of Architecture, Computing, and Engineering (SACE), competed for top awards in their respective categories, highlighting the Louisian community’s vocal and creative skills.


As a result of their exceptional performances, the winners of the initial contested events are as follows:


  • VOCAL SOLO

Champion: BES

1st Runner-up: SHAS

2nd Runner-up: SABH


  • CHRISTMAS CAROLING

Champion: SABH

1st Runner-up: BES

2nd Runner-up: SHAS


  • STREET DANCE

Champion: SHAS

1st Runner-up: SACE

2nd Runner-up: SABH


  • FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

Champion: SABH

1st Runner-up: SACE and BES

2nd Runner-up: SECAP


  • CHORALE

Champion: BES

1st Runner-up: SACE

2nd Runner-up: SABH


Although the initial competitions have concluded, the Louisian community eagerly awaits the results of the remaining contested events. The excitement continues to rise for the upcoming competitions in Digital Collage Making, Giant Lantern Making, and Short Film.


One question lingers as the lights shine bright across the university: Who will claim victory in this year’s PAILAW contested events?
