Grade 12 – Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) student Cybel De Luna, representing the University of Saint Louis, won the daily round of the national singing competition Tawag ng Tanghalan: The School Showdown for the October 8, 2024 episode.
Cybel secured the win with an average score of 96.7% with her beautiful rendition of Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time.”
Following her win, she will now move on to the preliminary round or weekly finals that will be held on October 12, 2024, and will compete with fellow daily winners of this week.
Tawag ng Tanghalan: The School Showdown is an amateur singing competition under the noontime program “It’s Showtime.” The edition features talented student contestants, aged 14 and above, hailing from various schools in the Philippines and provides them a platform to showcase their vocal talents, compete, and represent their respective schools in a national televised event.
