Paving the way for global industry exposure, a junior Electronics Engineering student started her international immersion program in the United States on June 16, 2025.
Ms. Andrea Therese R. Palor, a third-year Electronics Engineering student, is currently undergoing one-month cultural exposure at T-Mobile US, Inc., one of the largest wireless telecommunications companies based at Bellevue, Washington, United States. The cultural exchange program offers hands-on experience in radio frequency optimization, telecommunications network diagnostics and data analysis – key areas aligned with her specialization and academic training.
“My cultural immersion here at T-Mobile, so far, is really fun, interesting, and meaningful. The workplace environment is very diverse, healthy, and friendly, and there are plenty of lectures and activities given for me to participate in,” Palor shared. “Thanks to the company’s smart and approachable employees who have taught and assisted me. So far, I have already gained several technical and conceptual knowledge and skills related to my field of specialization as an engineering student. This international training greatly helps me as a future Electronics Engineer by introducing me to the fundamental concepts about telecommunications, as well as the roles that different network engineering teams fulfill.”
As Palor continues her immersive training until July 25, 2025, she is expected to return with enhanced technical skills and a broadened global perspective.
This cross-cultural engagement was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the GloCal Partnerships and Engagement (GPE) office and the Electronics Engineering Department, in partnership with T-Mobile US, Inc.
The program provides qualified students with direct exposure to global industry practices, mentorship from seasoned professionals, and opportunities for innovation and cross-cultural engagement.
This international industry immersion marks another milestone in USLT’s ongoing efforts to open international doors for student advancement and professional growth.
