Louisian alumnus appointed to Electronics Engineering Board

The University of Saint Louis (USL) proudly commends the appointment of one of its esteemed alumni, Engr. Gerhard P. Tan, to the Professional Regulatory Board of Electronics Engineering. His appointment marks another milestone in his illustrious career, which displays his contributions in the field of engineering in the country.


Engr. Tan, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering program in 2005, has continually demonstrated leadership and expertise in the industry. Currently serving as the Senior Director and Head of Technology Strategy and Innovations at Globe Telecom, Inc., his appointment to the Professional Regulatory Board entrusts him with the responsibility of helping shape and implement policies that will guide the development and regulation of the electronics engineering field.


His vast experience, both in local and international platforms, positions him well to contribute to advancements in engineering practices, particularly in sustainability-driven technologies.


The Presidential Communications Office announced the list of newly appointed officials under various agencies on September 23, 2024, which included Engr. Tan’s appointment. This achievement reflects the excellence USL instills in its graduates, continuing the legacy of producing leaders who make meaningful contributions to society.
