Calix Jacob C. Dueñas, a Grade 5-Marigold pupil of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao, emerged as Champion in the Rubik’s Cube Challenge-Elementary Level during the TECHQUEST: Region 2 Robotics and Rubik’s Challenge for Academia held on September 19, 2025, at SM City Tuguegarao.
The competition featured five qualified contestants from across the region, showcasing their skills and innovations.
Calix was coached by Mr. Arnel B. Maggay, who guided him in preparing for the challenge. His achievement reflects the growing strength of the university’s basic education program in cultivating young learners in pursuing excellence beyond the classroom.
The victory not only highlights the talent and dedication of Louisian pupils but also underscores the importance of providing opportunities for young innovators to develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and technical expertise in a competitive yet collaborative environment.
