Amid a dazzling display of lights and creativity, the Basic Education School (BES) claimed the championship title in the Louisian Luminaries competition.
The event challenged each department to design a craft worn by models—all made from sustainable materials and illuminated by captivating lights. BES impressed the judges with intricate details, innovative use of eco-friendly resources, and stunning lighting effects, securing the top spot.
Following closely, the School of Accountancy, Business, and Hospitality (SABH) earned 1st Runner-Up, while the School of Education, Criminology, Arts, and Psychology (SECAP) placed as 2nd Runner-Up.
This year, the competition took inspiration from the zodiac, with each department embodying a horoscope sign. BES showcased Aries, SABH presented Pisces, SECAP represented Taurus, School of Health and Allied Sciences embodied Scorpio, and School of Architecture, Computing, and Engineering depicted Capricorn.
The Louisian Luminaries competition not only celebrated artistry and craftsmanship but also reinforced the importance of sustainability, encouraging students to think creatively while promoting environmental responsibility.
