BES Aral Pan/Soc Scie, CFEd areas launch cultural artworks, rosary exhibits

In celebration of the Araling Panlipunan-Social Science, United Nations, and Rosary Month, the Araling Panlipunan/Social Science and Christian Faith Education Areas successfully spearheaded the launching of the Museo Luwisyano: Cultural Heritage Art and Rosary Exhibit on October 8, 2024. The event took place at the Junior High School Quadrangle of the university and was met with enthusiasm among students, faculty, and staff.

Organized by the dedicated Ka-Tribo and CMV Club Officers from both the Junior and Senior High Schools of the Basic Education School (BES), the exhibit was designed to highlight the community’s rich artistic and cultural heritage. The activity’s main objective was to showcase and promote the artistic talents of the BES students, allowing them to present their creative works that reflect the values of faith, culture, and national identity.

The exhibit featured an impressive collection of art pieces, including cultural heritage-inspired artworks and intricately designed rosaries, symbolizing the unity of the human spirit and the importance of cultural and spiritual traditions. The event not only served as a platform for students to express their creativity but also as an educational experience that encouraged a deeper understanding of their own heritage and faith.

After the program, the activity was blessed by Rev. Fr. John Mark D. Barroga, CICM, MATh-PM, Vice President for Mission and Identity and University Chaplain, adding a more profound spiritual dimension to the occasion. His blessing of the exhibit underscored the significance of faith in celebrating cultural and artistic expressions, making the event even more meaningful for the participants.

The Museo Luwisyano exhibit is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the Ka-TRIBO and CMV Club officers, inspiring future initiatives that continue to celebrate the talents and values of the Lousians.
