The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT), through its SDIR and Advancement Office, visited leading universities in Manila and Baguio City on September 17-18, 2026, to learn from their practices in advancement, alumni relations, marketing, communications, and sustainability.
On September 17, the team visited De La Salle University (DLSU), Adamson University, and the University of the Philippines Diliman in Manila. At DLSU, the team held parallel discussions with the Advancement and Alumni Relations Office, Department of Marketing and Advertising, and Environment and Sustainability Activities Office.
At Adamson University, the team met with the Institutional Development and External Affairs Office, the Advancement and Alumni Relations Office, the Office of Campus Sustainability, and the Marketing and Student Recruitment Office. At UP Diliman, the team also held discussions with the Media and Communication Office and Alumni Relations Office.
The benchmarking continued in Baguio City on September 18, with visits to the University of the Cordilleras (UC) and Saint Louis University (SLU). At UC, the team met with representatives from the Career Placement and Alumni Center, the Center for Social Responsibility, the Marketing, Communications, and Enrollment Services Office, the Occupational Safety and Health Office, and the Pollution Control Office.
At SLU, the team held parallel discussions with the University Information Office and the Office of Global Relations, Alumni Affairs, and Scholarships Program.
The two-day benchmarking activity allowed the SDIR and Advancement Office to gather practices and insights that may help strengthen USLT’s work in advancement, communications, alumni relations, sustainability, and external engagement.
The benchmarking activity supports Sustainable Development Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals by strengthening professional connections and knowledge sharing among higher education institutions. Through these exchanges, USLT continues to build partnerships and learn from practices that can contribute to more effective and sustainable university operations.
