The Louisian Criminology students of Batch Bannawag 2027 formally embarked on their student internship through the Pinning and Donning of Ranks Ceremony held on August 26, 2026, at the Bulwagang Teodulfo Domingo.
The ceremony commenced with a Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Rev. Fr. John Mark D. Barroga, CICM, Vice President for Mission and Identity/ University Chaplain, setting a solemn tone for the students as they prepared to assume greater responsibilities in their professional formation.
Adding inspiration to the occasion, FSSUPT. Victoria Agbayani Domingo, DSC, Director of the Bureau of Fire Protection Region 2, delivered a motivational message, encouraging the student interns to uphold discipline, integrity, and commitment as they prepare for their future roles in the field of criminology and public service.
A significant part of the program was the Donning and Pinning Ceremony, where the student interns were formally presented and recognized as they took another step toward professional practice. The ceremony was followed by the Oath of Internship, signifying their commitment to fulfill the duties and responsibilities entrusted to them during their internship.
The students also participated in the Acceptance and Commitment to Responsibility, affirming their readiness to carry out their responsibilities with professionalism, accountability, and dedication.
The celebration culminated in the Batch Naming, officially marking their identity as Batch Bannawag 2027—a name that embodies their collective aspirations and commitment to rise to the challenges of their chosen profession.
Carrying the spirit of their batch, the students proclaimed: “We rise in the discipline, we lead in service, we carry the honor of Bannawag.”
The ceremony reflects the university’s commitment to developing future professionals who are equipped not only with knowledge and skills but also with values essential to responsible and ethical service. It also contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, particularly in promoting relevant learning opportunities that prepare students for professional and responsible participation in society.
