CEAP-ASCA R02 Socio-Cultural Night commences with vocal competitions

The first day of the Catholic Educators Association of the Philippines–Athletic and Socio-Cultural Association (CEAP-ASCA) Region 02 Socio-Cultural Night showcased outstanding vocal talents from Catholic schools across the region on January 26, 2026, at the Open Field. The evening featured competitions in various vocal categories, highlighting artistry, discipline, and musical excellence among participating institutions.


Strong performances marked the Vocal Solo (Secondary) category, with Saint Paul University Philippines emerging as champion. The Diocese of Bayombong Educational System secured second place, while the Franciscan Apostolic School System claimed third. In the Vocal Solo (Tertiary) division, Our Lady of the Pillar College–Cauayan took the top spot, followed by Saint Joseph College of Baggao as first runner-up and Saint Mary’s University as second runner-up.


Harmonized performances continued to impress in the group categories. The Vocal Trio (Secondary) competition saw the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao earning the gold medal, with the Diocese of Bayombong Educational System receiving silver and the Tuguegarao Archdiocesan School System–BEU taking bronze. Meanwhile, Saint Mary’s University led the Vocal Duet (Tertiary) category, followed by Our Lady of the Pillar College–San Manuel in second place and Our Lady of the Pillar College–Cauayan in third.


Capping the night was the Quartet Acapella (Tertiary) edition, where the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao claimed victory. Saint Mary’s University placed second, while Lyceum of Aparri completed the roster of winners.


Overall, the opening night set a high standard for the socio-cultural events, celebrating unity, creativity, and the shared mission of Catholic education through music.
