University President Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D., marked his birthday on November 11, 2025, with meaningful activities at the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT), bringing together faith, service, and community engagement.
The day included a tree-planting activity, the blessing of the newly built grotto and renovated President’s Office, a simple gathering with the Louisian community, and the Hatid Kapatid outreach program of the Community Engagement and CICM Advocacies (CECA) Office.
The morning began with Fr. Maniwang, together with members of the Extended Advisory Board (EAB), conducting a tree-planting activity at the Bishop Constant Jurgens Campus (BCJC). The act symbolized renewal, growth, and his commitment to environmental care, reflecting gratitude for life and the opportunity to serve.
Later in the morning, he led the blessing of the newly built grotto and the renovated University President’s Office, together with the Vice President for Mission and Identity and University Chaplain, Rev. Fr. John Mark D. Barroga, CICM, MATh-PM.
In the afternoon, a simple gathering brought the Louisian community together to honor Fr. Maniwang on his birthday, fostering a sense of unity and gratitude among administrators, faculty, staff, and students. Following this, the Hatid Kapatid Program reached out to evacuees in the elementary schools of Caritan Norte and Atulayan, providing food to those affected by Super Typhoon “Uwan.”
Through these activities, Fr. Maniwang demonstrated his devotion to leadership and service, embodying the principles of faith, compassion, and responsibility that continue to inspire the Louisian community.
