Representing the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT), Ms. Nhel Marie A. Gatan of the Mathematics Department participated in the 15th Biennial and International Conference on Mathematics Education organized by the Philippine Council of Mathematics Teacher Educators (MATHTED, Inc.) on October 16–18, 2025, at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila.
The three-day conference was attended by mathematics educators, researchers, and practitioners from various institutions to discuss current issues, trends, and innovations in mathematics education.
Through her active participation, Ms. Gatan gained new insights and strategies that can be integrated into classroom instruction and curriculum development. Moreover, her involvement in the conference reflects her commitment to continuous professional growth and her dedication to advancing mathematics education through innovative approaches and best teaching practices.
In turn, the Mathematics Department and its students are expected to benefit from the knowledge and experiences she acquired, as these will contribute to the department’s ongoing efforts to enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes.
