A spirit of pride and achievement filled the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) as the Basic Education School – Junior High School (BES-JHS) gathered on September 16, 2025 at the James Ter Meer Gymnasium, to honor students who excelled in academics during the first quarter of the school year.
Speaking on behalf of the honorees, Grade 10 Advance Science awardee Jan Steven J. Saquing inspired his fellow Louisians with a message of gratitude, underscoring the value of determination in reaching academic goals.
Guiding the ceremony were Dr. Luisa B. Aquino, VP for Academics, and Dr. Emily T. Mabborang, Principal, who led the presentation of certificates to the White Card and Blue Card awardees across grade levels.
A total of 270 students were celebrated for their scholastic distinction:
Grade 7: 7 White Card and 11 Blue Card awardees (Advance Science); 12 White Card and 23 Blue Card awardees (Science)
Grade 8: 17 White Card and 13 Blue Card awardees (Advance Science); 15 White Card and 24 Blue Card awardees (Science)
Grade 9: 12 White Card and 22 Blue Card awardees (Advance Science); 7 White Card and 24 Blue Card awardees (Science)
Grade 10: 22 White Card and 10 Blue Card awardees (Advance Science); 15 White Card and 36 Blue Card awardees (Science)
The ceremony reaffirmed the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and forming young Louisians who embody discipline, dedication, and perseverance.
