The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) and Filipino Academy (FA) strengthened ties for international collaboration through the Strategic Global Conversations held on August 6, 2025, at the Bulwagang Teodulfo Domingo.
With the theme “Strategic Dialogues for Global Futures: Crafting Meaningful Academic Partnerships,” the event was attended by FA officials, the USLT Advisory Board, academic deans, department heads, faculty members, and student representatives.
USLT President Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, PhD, welcomed the guests, highlighting the value of global academic linkages. In response, FA Chief Executive Officer Ms. Joyleen F. Hapinat expressed gratitude for the partnership and reaffirmed Filipino Academy’s commitment to working closely with USLT in creating opportunities for students in the global arena.
Following the messages, the program featured presentations of collaborative projects and initiatives. FA Marketing Manager Mr. Glen A. Dañas introduced internship opportunities for engineering and architecture students, while FA Chief Operating Officer Ms. Ruthmar N. Fuentes discussed internships for nursing students and job placement for nursing graduates at Thumbay University Hospital in the United Arab Emirates.
Moreover, FA Head of Academic Services Ms. Melanie V. Marquez presented the IELTS training and certification program. Concluding the presentations, USLT Community Engagement and CICM Advocacies (CECA) OIC Director Ms. Lily Ann B. dela Cruz shared USLT’s community engagement programs.
Through these exchanges, both institutions aim to open more opportunities for academic exchange, skills training, and global career pathways for Louisian students and graduates.
