Louisian employees clinch awards in 4th Cagayan Authors’ Summit Celebration

Two employees of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) clinched various awards in the 4th Cagayan Authors’ Summit Celebration as part of the 1st Cagayan Authors and Writers Awards (CAWA).


Arch. Michael Tabao, School of Architecture, Computing, and Engineering Faculty, won Best Research Paper with his work “The 1912 Notebook of Fr. Julian Malumbres, O.P. on the properties of the Churches the Dominicans Administered in Cagayan until 1898.” Along with the winning award, he also secured second runner-up as Best Researcher.


Furthermore, Mr. Prince Wilson Macarubbo, Head of the Center for Institutional Identity and CICM Studies, clinched first runner-up as Best Researcher with his book titled “Tuguegarao’s Saint Peter’s Cathedral: Its History and Conservation.”


The competition, which is part of the 442nd Aggao Nac Cagayan festivities, showcased and promoted literacy merit and cultural relevance.
