A Scholar’s Path Forged with the USL-Alumni Scholarship

Jesusa Paloma G. San Pedro, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduate of 2025, stands today as a degree holder and a proud scholar of the USL-Alumni Scholarship.

For Jesusa, being chosen for this scholarship was a gift she held close throughout college. However, her journey was not without struggles. Looking back, she remembers the weight of academic expectations and personal battles, moments filled with self-doubt, long nights, and the quiet ache of being far from home. Even so, she chose to rise. By leaning on her faith and the strength of her support system, Jesusa found her way.

Through the USL-Alumni Scholarship, she shared that she learned to set boundaries, plan ahead, and allow herself moments of rest. With the help of loved ones and the responsibility of being a scholar, she learned to live with grace and accountability.

As the only graduate under the USL-Alumni Scholarship for 2025, Jesusa carries this honor with deep gratitude. She shares that the scholarship was more than financial help; it reminded her that her journey counted. This experience also taught her that service goes beyond required hours, found in small, meaningful actions, and a heart ready to help.

Now that she has graduated, Jesusa offers a message to future scholars and the scholars in the lower years: “Trust the process, give your best, and never forget to give back. You are not just recipients—you are future leaders, changemakers, and guiding lights in your communities.”

Her story, grounded in strength and deep faith, is a reminder that her scholarship is not simply financial aid. They are bridges to dreams, shaped by effort, courage, and the enduring spirit of those who incessantly hope.

Jesusa extends her heartfelt gratitude to the USL-Alumni Scholarship Program and the generous alumni who made her college journey possible. For her, the scholarship was not just a financial lifeline but a beacon of hope and a reminder that she was supported by a community that believes in the power of education and service. She is deeply thankful to every alumnus who continues to uplift students like her, making dreams attainable and futures brighter.

As she steps into a new chapter of her life, we warmly congratulate Paloma and her family on her well-deserved graduation and commend them for the strength, perseverance, and faith that brought them to this proud moment.

The USL-Alumni Scholarship aims to support financially challenged students who exhibit commendable academic performance. This scholarship encompasses substantial coverage, providing up to a 100% discount on tuition fees, laboratory fees, and miscellaneous fees, except student fees.
