In pursuit of empowering future professionals and linking education to employment, the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT), through its Guidance and Counseling Center – College Unit, successfully conducted the Job Fair 2025 on May 9, 2025, held at Robinsons Place Tuguegarao, with the theme “Bridging Louisian Dreams with Opportunities.”
This annual career-building initiative is part of the Career Planning and Employment Program (CPEP) of the Guidance and Counseling Center, which is dedicated to preparing students and graduates for a smooth and successful transition into the professional world. The event served as a gateway for graduating students, alumni, and community job seekers to connect with reputable companies and agencies, explore career prospects, and land employment opportunities.
The job fair was made possible through the strong partnership of the Department of Labor and Employment – Cagayan Field Office, Public Employment Service Office – Tuguegarao City, and Robinsons Place Tuguegarao. Together, they helped ensure a seamless and impactful experience for both job seekers and employers.
A total of 29 local employers actively participated, representing a diverse mix of industries—from healthcare and education to finance, business process outsourcing, and government service.
Notably, the companies and organizations present were McDonald’s Tanza, Metro North Construction, Alorica Teleservices, Inc., Supervalue Inc., Isabela Gios Commercial, Inc., Staff Search Asia Service Cooperative, Pru Life UK, Sanford Marketing Corporation, Toyota – Tuguegarao City, ASA Philippines Foundation, Inc., Grupo Marilen, Bank of the Philippine Islands, University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao – HRMS, Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines, University of Cagayan Valley, St. Paul Hospital of Tuguegarao, Divine Mercy Wellness Center, Cagayan Electric Cooperative, Robinsons Place Tuguegarao, Go Hotel Tuguegarao, Holy Infant Hospital, Raphael General Hospital, Social Security System, Pag-IBIG Fund, PhilHealth, Everise, Masagana Microfinance, Cagayan Economic Zone Authority, URC CARSUMCO, and Placewell International.
The event attracted a strong turnout, showcasing the enthusiasm of Louisian students and community members to take active steps toward employment. A total of 416 job seekers registered, with 25 local employers offering 1,351 job vacancies. Out of the registrants, 318 were deemed qualified, and 83 were identified as near hires. Remarkably, 10 applicants were hired on the spot, highlighting the job fair’s effectiveness in bridging job seekers with potential employers.
In addition to employment matching, many students also took the opportunity to process their essential employment documents. With the presence of Pag-IBIG Fund, Social Security System (SSS), and PhilHealth, numerous participants successfully applied for or secured their Pag-IBIG membership accounts, SSS numbers, and PhilHealth ID cards.
The USLT Guidance and Counseling Center expressed its deep appreciation to all partner agencies, participating employers, and volunteers who made the event a success. As the university continues to strengthen its commitment to holistic student development, activities like the USLT Job Fair 2025 reaffirm its mission to prepare Louisian graduates to enter the workforce with confidence, competence, and purpose.
