Jerome James Kanagendran of the School of Education, Criminology, Arts, and Psychology (SECAP) and Joyce Pader of the School of Architecture, Computing, and Engineering (SACE) were officially crowned as the 2025 Louisian Ambassador and Ambassadress (LAA) during the coronation night held on February 13, 2025, at the USLT open stage.
Following two weeks of rigorous training and evaluations, the prestigious event culminated with the SECAP and SACE representatives securing the aspired titles. The competition involved a series of challenges designed to assess leadership, advocacy, and presentation skills, reflecting the USLT’s commitment to producing dynamic individuals.
As a newly crowned ambassador and ambassadress, Kanagendran and Pader are expected to serve as role models and representatives of the institution, embodying the values of excellence, leadership, and service. Their term will involve active participation in university endeavors, outreach programs, and promotional activities that enhance the university’s core values and student engagement.
The 2025 LAA competition demonstrated intellect, innovative thinking, and dedication to advocacy for Louisian students, highlighting their outstanding attributes. It reaffirmed the university’s goal of developing future leaders who are dedicated to improving their communities.
