The University of San Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) congratulates Vhielle P. Santos, a grade 9 student from the Basic Education School-Junior High School (BES-JHS), for her outstanding international athletic success as she obtained a gold medal during the 2025 Waein Cup Open Championship on January 17-19, 2025 at Our Tampines Hub in Singapore.

Santos surpassed distinguished international competitors by winning the category of Poomsae Junior Division (15-17 years). At the championship, Ms. Santos displayed an execution that showcased complete athletic excellence in taekwondo practice and stood out among 14 competing countries.

Authorized by the Singapore Taekwondo Federation (STF) and supported by Community Sports Network at Tampines West, the Waein Cup Open Championship is a competition for seasoned professionals looking to showcase their expertise or a newcomer eager to make their mark. This competition welcomes participants of all backgrounds and experience levels.

Through the guidance of her coaches, Enersto Guzman Jr., Kelvin Clark Cardenas, and Simon Daquioag, she achieved a victory that enhanced educational sports heritage and international sports recognition for the Louisian community and the Philippines.

The gold medal sets an impressive standard that showcases martial arts excellence at school and national levels. At the WAIEN CUP championship, Santos received the gold medal through dedication to martial arts and excellent athletic advice from her coaches, teachers, and family members.

Santos’s WAIEN CUP championship victory displays an outstanding blueprint showing how seriousness in training, campus mentorship, and individual grit for performing lead to athletic triumph.

Congratulations once again!
