The Elementary Unit of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao – Basic Education School (USLT-BES) celebrated the much-anticipated Family Day at the USLT Covered Court on the morning of January 11, 2025, with the theme “Unity in Diversity: Celebrating our Unique Family Ties.”
The event opened with routine prayers and a national anthem. The celebrations continued with an enthusiastic Zumba performance, courtesy of the Elementary Family, which certainly set the bar for the rest of the festivities. What followed was a glimpse of the Louisian spirits resonating from the elementary department as they cheered for their respective teams.
As the entertainment resumed, all attendees enjoyed the parlor games. Lunch was a great treat before the Family Got Talent, which not only highlighted the festivity theme but also displayed the vast array of talents that the unit holds, and the raffle draw that got everybody all worked up was such a great time to be experienced by all.
As the celebrations approached the finale, University President Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D., gave a message engraved into the students’ hearts. After that, families fixed their tents, with their kids helping them.
Followed by a sweeter note, the EFC Officers and BES Administrators gave it their all for their intermission number. Finally, the BES Principal, Dr. Emily T. Mabborang, delivered her words of gratitude.
The elementary students savored the moments where they got the best of both worlds: quality time with their beloved families on the campus they hold dear.
As the festivities ended, all participants observed KKP as the learners slowly became molded into responsible individuals by the grace and teachings of their beloved institution.
