The 6th Gawad San Luis for Students celebrated the Louisian excellence of student awardees in a program held on August 30, 2024, at the James Ter Meer Gymnasium.
In his special message, Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D., University President, extended his felicitations and warmest greetings to the student awardees, reminding them that every achievement, no matter how small it is, is a step towards greatness.
“I pray that as you move beyond your leadership journey as students and step into the professional world, you may carry with you the same excellence that you have shown here at our university. Strive to be leaders who inspire, professionals who will innovate, and individuals who can make a lot of difference in society,” advised Fr. Maniwang.
USL accorded honors to 59 individual awardees and 72 group awardees spanning diverse disciplines including academics, sports, journalism, professional responsibility, culture and arts, and innovation, creativity, and agility.
The Gawad San Luis for Students is a prestigious recognition that celebrates students’ embodiment of the university’s core values and notable accomplishments. It serves as a tribute to their dedication and contribution to the Louisian community.
