<p>The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) held the contract signing for the Basic Education School (BES) faculty for the School Year 2026 to 2027 on March 27, 2026, at the Bulwagang Teodulfo Domingo (New EMC) Building.</p>

<p>The program opened with remarks from Dr. Marie Rose P. Mora, Vice President for Administration. This was followed by a message from Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D., University President. In his address, he shared his vision for the upcoming school year and the years ahead. He encouraged the faculty to remain steadfast in forming students with strong values and academic competence. He also emphasized the role of educators in building a community rooted in faith, excellence, and service.</p>

<p>The contracts were then signed, marking each faculty member’s formal commitment to the university.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Basic Education School (BES) of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) held its Senior High School Commencement Exercises on March 28, 2026, at the James Ter Meer Gymnasium, gathering graduates from the ABM, HUMSS, STEM Health, and STEM Non-Health strands in a full-day ceremony that honored 762 completers and recognized academic and non-academic excellence.</p>

<p>In the morning, graduates from the Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Non-Health (STEM-NH) strands took part in the rites. Elisa Mae R. Duldulao, from the ABM strand, delivered the message on behalf of the class. In the afternoon, the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Health (STEM-H) strands held their ceremonies, with Bhell Amethyst C. Padamada of STEM-H sharing a message that reflected the graduates&#8217; hopes.</p>

<p>The STEM-H strand recorded 380 graduates, followed by STEM-NH with 214, ABM with 98, and HUMSS with 70. The university also recognized excellence across academic and non-academic fields. Awardees included 55 from STEM-H, 38 from ABM, 25 from STEM-NH, and 8 from HUMSS. In addition, 170 students received non-academic awards across all strands. Loyalty awards were given to 35 students who remained committed to the university through the years.</p>

<p>The awarding of diplomas was led by Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D., University President, together with Dr. Luisa B. Aquino, Vice President for Academics, and Dr. Emily T. Mabborang, Basic Education Principal. Meanwhile, Rev. Fr. John Mark D. Barroga, CICM, Vice President for Mission and Identity and University Chaplain, joined Dr. Darwin F. Dumlao, Assistant Principal for Administration and Student Affairs, in recognizing the loyalty awardees.</p>

<p>The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) recognized Senior High School Grade 11 students for their academic and non-academic achievements on March 26, 2026, at the James Ter Meer Gymnasium.</p>

<p>In the academic category, the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) strand recorded 12 students with Honors. The Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) strand produced 2 students with High Honors and 16 students with Honors. The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Health (STEM-Health) strand had 1 student with High Honors and 84 students with Honors. The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Non-Health (STEM Non-Health) strand recognized 21 students with Honors.</p>

<p>For non-academic awards, the HUMSS strand had 7 awardees, while the ABM strand had 3. The STEM-Health strand recorded 13 awardees, and the STEM Non-Health Strand had 11.</p>

<p>The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT), through its Human Resource Management Services (HRMS), conducted the 2026 National Women’s Month Celebration on March 25, 2026, highlighting the theme, “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society.” The activity gathered the women employees in support of gender awareness, wellness, and empowerment initiatives.</p>

<p>The program opened with a welcome remarks from Dr. Alicia S. Tuliao, HRMS Senior Director. Rev. Fr. Macwayne N. Maniwang, CICM, Ph.D., University President, then delivered a message of appreciation, recognizing the significant contributions of women in fostering an inclusive academic community.</p>

<p>Among the highlights of the celebration was the session titled “Serbisyo Para Kay Juanang Luisiyana: Personality Development,” facilitated by Ms. Gladys Addun, Owner of GA HMUA, who demonstrated the proper techniques in hair styling and makeup application, emphasizing personal grooming, growth, and self-confidence. This was followed by a talk on Breast and Cervical Cancer Awareness delivered by Ms. Rachel Ann S. Asino, RN, MSN, emphasizing preventive care and health education.</p>

<p>In addition, wellness services were offered to participants, including free haircutting and eyebrow shaping. A raffle draw was also conducted, featuring gift certificates for massage, manicure and pedicure, coffee, and other treats for employees, courtesy of generous sponsors.</p>

<p>Ultimately, the celebration underscored the university’s commitment to gender equality and inclusive development while providing meaningful opportunities for empowerment, awareness, and holistic well-being within the Louisian community.</p>

<p>Notably, the academic awards were bestowed by Dr. Emily T. Mabborang, Basic Education School Principal, and Dr. Darwin F. Dumlao, Assistant Principal for Administration and Student Services. The recognition highlighted the outstanding performance of learners across grade levels.</p>

<p>For Grade 7, two learners received the distinction “With High Honors,” while sixty-six were awarded “With Honors.” In Grade 8, five learners earned “With High Honors,” and seventy-three received “With Honors.” Meanwhile, Grade 9 recorded one learner with “With High Honors” and seventy-eight with “With Honors.”</p>

<p>Moreover, non-academic awards were also given across the said grade levels, recognizing learners for their talents, leadership, and other exemplary contributions.</p>

<p>The University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao – Basic Education School conducted its Elementary Recognition and Commencement Exercises on March 25, 2026, at the James Ter Meer Gymnasium, celebrating the academic achievements and milestone of its elementary learners.</p>

<p>The program commenced with a Baccalaureate Mass at the Good Shepherd Chapel, presided by Rev. Fr. John Mark D. Barroga, CICM, Vice President for Mission and Identity and University Chaplain. The solemn celebration set a reflective tone as graduates offered prayers of gratitude for their educational journey.</p>

<p>Following the mass, the procession of graduates, awardees, and school officials formally opened the commencement exercises at the gymnasium. The ceremony highlighted the transition of the graduating pupils as they completed their elementary education.</p>

<p>Of the total number of complters, four received the distinction “With High Honors,” while fifteen were awarded “With Honors,” highlighting their exemplary academic performance and commendable efforts throughout the school year. <p>The Louisian Courier (TLC), official student publication of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao, delivered a strong performance after securing multiple recognitions in both individual and publication categories during the 21st Luzonwide Higher Education Press Conference held on March 17–19, 2026 at NGN Gran Hotel.</p>

<p>The three-day gathering assembled campus journalists and advisers from 167 higher education institutions across Luzon, with additional participation from Region VII, under the theme “Voices Ablaze: Campus Journalists as Vigilant Truthtellers.”</p>

<p>In the individual category, TLC writers and artists earned placements across several contests. Reynaldo T. Liquigan Jr. finished 3rd in Column Writing (English), while Ryza Judia D. Berbano also secured 3rd place in Traditional Comic Strip Drawing (English). Dharyll John E. Sejalbo placed 4th in Sports Writing (Filipino). Precious Donna E. Manuel ranked 8th in Feature Writing (English), and Jean Audrey M. Lagrio placed 9th in Development Communication Writing (English).</p>

<p>Other TLC members likewise represented the publication in various events, including Intel John Louis T. Bumagat (News Writing–English), Samantha Ashely O. Callangan (News Writing–Filipino), Cristian Jess C. Ventura (Literary Graphics–Traditional, English), Jericho R. Dela Cruz (Copy Reading and Headline Writing–Filipino; Infographics; Layouting), Christian Jelo L. Asuncion (Editorial Cartooning–Traditional, Filipino; Comic Strip Drawing–Digital; Editorial Cartooning–Digital, English), and Charlone J. Agustin (Editorial Cartooning–Traditional, English).</p>

<p>Beyond individual recognitions, TLC’s publication entries also garnered awards across multiple issues. The literary folio SALIMPUSA placed 4th overall and earned 2nd place for Best Literary Content, 5th place for Best Page Design, 8th place for Best Literary Concept, and 10th place for Best Literary Graphics.</p>

<p>The magazine KANTORIT received 7th place for Best Editorial Page, along with 8th place finishes in both Best Literary Page and Best Cover Design. Meanwhile, the newsletter CATALYST secured 1st place for Best News Page and 9th place for Best Sports Page, while the tabloid LAKANLAYA placed 8th in both Best Sports Page and Best Literary Page.</p>

<p>The Sixth Division Mathematics Camp Festival of the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Tuguegarao City was officially held on March 12–13, 2026, at the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT). Hosted by the Basic Education School (BES) of USLT, this year’s celebration carried the theme “Excellence in Showcasing Impressive Performances on Numerical Abilities for the Youngsters Attuned in the Now Normal (E SIPNAYAN).”</p>

<p>Significantly, the activity aimed to enhance the quality of mathematics education by awakening greater interest in the subject among learners, encouraging both students and teachers to strive for excellence, and instilling values of hard work, perseverance, honesty, teamwork, and sportsmanship in academic competitions.</p>

<p>Moreover, the festival gathered 700 elementary and secondary participants from 42 schools across the division.</p>

<p>Highlights of the event included contests such as Quiz Bee, Math Spoken Poetry, Sudoku, Rubik’s Cube, Tower of Hanoi, Number Race, and DaMath.</p>

<p>Through the leadership of the Mathematics Area Head, Mrs. Rosel B. Gannaban, MAEd, and with the support of the Mathematics teachers of USLT, the festival was successfully organized and carried out.</p>

<p>Thus, the successful conduct of the festival was made possible through the dedication of the faculty members and student volunteers who facilitated and supported the program.</p>

<p>Ayesha Nicole D. Laureta, a fourth-year Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Social Science and Jayson A. Telan, a fourth-year Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science of the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) secured 1st and 3rd places, respectively, in the 3rd National Teacher Education Quizbee, themed “ASEAN to the World,” held on March 20, 2026, and organized by the Carl E. Balita Review Center.</p>

<p>Notably, the two Louisian representatives rose to the top against 151 competitors from across the province, underscoring the institution’s strong performance in the field of teacher education.</p>

<p>With this achievement, Laureta and Telan will advance to the next level of the competition on a wider stage, which will be held soon in Manila.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, other Louisian participants also showcased commendable performance in the competition. These included Czarina Joy U. Camus, Ayesha Yasmeen H. Eugenio, and Madelyn A. Gazzingan (BSED English 4); Jocker Angelo D. Banutan and Julius S. Narag (BPED 4); Shaina Joy H. Macarubbo (BSED Science 4); and Marc Juniel D. Ibay and Patrixia Krishelle De Torres (BSED Social Science 4).</p>

<p>Overall, the strong showing of the Louisian delegates highlights the quality of teacher education at USLT, serving as concrete proof of the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, rigorous preparation, and the holistic formation of future educators prepared to excel both locally and globally.</p>
