Since 1970, it has maintained its position in the DeathCare Services Industry by continually developing memorial products and services that meet the changing needs of Filipino families.

The partnership demonstrates USLT’s continued efforts to strengthen employee welfare by providing benefits that support financial preparedness and family security. For Jesusa, being chosen for this scholarship was a gift she held close throughout college. However, her journey was not without struggles. Looking back, she remembers the weight of academic expectations and personal battles, moments filled with self-doubt, long nights, and the quiet ache of being far from home. Even so, she chose to rise. By leaning on her faith and the strength of her support system, Jesusa found her way.

Through the USL-Alumni Scholarship, she shared that she learned to set boundaries, plan ahead, and allow herself moments of rest. With the help of loved ones and the responsibility of being a scholar, she learned to live with grace and accountability.

As the only graduate under the USL-Alumni Scholarship for 2025, Jesusa carries this honor with deep gratitude. She shares that the scholarship was more than financial help; it reminded her that her journey counted. This experience also taught her that service goes beyond required hours, found in small, meaningful actions, and a heart ready to help.

Now that she has graduated, Jesusa offers a message to future scholars and the scholars in the lower years: “Trust the process, give your best, and never forget to give back. You are not just recipients—you are future leaders, changemakers, and guiding lights in your communities.”

At USLT, 33 outsourced maintenance, 32 USLT Guards, 8 individuals in the Traffic Management Group, and 4 Street Sweepers received Christmas gift packs as an expression of gratitude for their dedication and service to the university.

Meanwhile, in Brgy. Allaguia, Pinukpuk, Kalinga, 388 households were gifted with the same holiday packages, spreading joy and light to those in need.

Central to this achievement is the university’s Community Engagement and CICM Advocacies (CECA) Office, which is instrumental in integrating programs with long-lasting social impact that address the needs of local communities.

Fr. Maniwang led a university outreach program at Paddaya Integrated School in Paddaya, Aparri, Cagayan to bring relief and comfort to families affected by the said typhoon. The program began with a solemn Holy Eucharist, manifesting a religious and compassionate ambiance. Profoundly driven by Fr. Maniwang’s concerns for the community, he viewed this initiative as a means of showing support and unity with the Cagayanos. In keeping with USL’s mission, 22 university employees joined him in distributing the relief goods.

After the mass, relief packs were distributed to 250 families, each containing essential goods to assist those facing hardship caused by the typhoon. This act of service exemplified USL’s mission to uplift communities, demonstrating that its commitment extends beyond education to embrace social responsibility.

Through this meaningful act of kindness, USL emphasized its commitment to supporting the Cagayanos and fostering compassion, faith, and unity.
