Religious Life

The University Chapel is a place of solitude and worship for many Louisians and their visitors. The chapel is open almost everyday and visitors are always welcome.Although the chapel is not part of any parish in the archdiocese, masses are held everyday for the community. The regularly scheduled masses are at 7:30 in the morning on Sundays and at 4:30 in the afternoon from Mondays through Saturdays.

USL Campus Ministry is responsible for the religious life of the campus. In addition to organizing the Roman Catholic liturgical and sacramental life, the campus ministry team offers opportunities for spiritual retreats, promotes opportunities for student service to those in need, including service trips, promotes ethical values and social justice and provides pastoral counseling and spiritual direction. The activities of Campus Ministry are open to students and staff of all faiths.
